Creating something beautiful and memorable together for your wedding day in our natural, garden influenced style
We are a floral studio based in vibrant East Oxford. Our style is natural, focussing on flowers that embrace the changing seasons and we love to let the flowers and foliage speak for themselves.
Having moved out of the physical shop premises, our focus is now on our seasonal floral wraps, floral subscriptions, workshops and weddings. We no longer operate daily flower deliveries.
At this Oxford florist we’re influenced by nature, and we like to use flowers, seed heads, berries and leaves that capture the changing seasons, with an emphasis on letting the flowers and foliage speak for themselves. It’s important to us that your bouquet and flowers should evoke the senses. Memories of walking through the garden and brushing past mint, lavender or rosemary, the scent of roses from your grandmother’s garden or handfuls of chocolate scented Cosmos. Scent, touch and colour are all important to us here at Bicycle Blooms, east Oxford.
Sometimes it’s good to slow things down… A chance to look in detail at all of the flower varieties, colours, shades and tones, ruffles and textures for this mid-summer bridal bouquet for Sophie on Friday. Very much in our BB style and adorned in natural silk ribbon. Chinese asters appear for the first time this year, sitting alongside 5 rose varieties, dahlias, phlox, lisianthus, scabious, zinnias, helichrysum (aka straw flowers), oxypetalum and so much more, with scented geranium for foliage and it’s little pink flowers 🌸 Summer flowers all wrapped together in a soft palette bouquet, a joy to create for Sophie 🙂

It’s good to be back 🙂 With the @dahliabeach field opening this weekend for the 2026 season at Millets Farm thank you Andie @dahliabeach for having me back today to run some of workshops this summer alongside a team of fabulous florists and a great front of house team. Looking forward to watching the field bloom through the summer as it always does, teaching, with a few laughs along the way and hopefully some rain 🌧️ 🙏

1 to 6… Didn’t quite capture the 10 on the day 🙂 Loved the fabulous block print runners, colourful napkins and terracotta clay name place tiles supplied by @ria24x and @_jamesalden for their reception @cherwellboathouse and how it all came together on the day with the floral centrepieces and @candle_flair candles chosen to coordinate with it all 🙂

All the ruffles for @ria24x and her girls last Saturday and coordinating rose buttonholes for @_jamesalden and his groomsmen 💕 For Ria’s bouquet 6 rose varieties - spray roses ‘Shiraz’, ‘Pink Majolica’, ‘Vilandry’, and ‘Tanja’ sitting alongside rosa ‘Quicksand’, ‘Princess Sakura’, with dahlias, lisianthus, phlox and mint in the mix 💕 For the bridesmaids a slightly lighter shade taking out those peachier tones and replacing them with ‘Sahara Sensation’ spray roses and a little touch of ‘Santini Babette’ 💕 For the buttonholes using the ‘Tanja’ spray rose used in the bouquets with a little foliage, with a slightly different design for James picking out the pink in the bridal party bouquets 💕 Gorgeous ingredients for a lovely couple - happy one week anniversary today 💕🌸💕

Little bunches of fun… Buttonholes from recent weddings. From roses to grasses, classic to textural, always different even if in a subtle way - a different foliage or filler, wired and then finished with ribbon or string and lovingly placed in a delivery tray with pins ready to adorn a lapel or two. Today’s delivery made me think of all we have made recently and how different they can all be 🙂
