We are a floral studio based in vibrant East Oxford. Our style is natural, focussing on flowers that embrace the changing seasons and we love to let the flowers and foliage speak for themselves.
Having moved out of the physical shop premises, our focus is now on our seasonal floral wraps, floral subscriptions, workshops and weddings. We no longer operate daily flower deliveries.
A little bit about us
At this Oxford florist we’re influenced by nature, and we like to use flowers, seed heads, berries and leaves that capture the changing seasons, with an emphasis on letting the flowers and foliage speak for themselves. It’s important to us that your bouquet and flowers should evoke the senses. Memories of walking through the garden and brushing past mint, lavender or rosemary, the scent of roses from your grandmother’s garden or handfuls of chocolate scented Cosmos. Scent, touch and colour are all important to us here at Bicycle Blooms, east Oxford.

Designing just for me… It popped up today in memories and I realise this bouquet is ‘me’ and my floral style - a little wild, packed full of variety, texture, shape and form. Forcing myself at the time to play with a different colour palette I still migrated to what makes my heart sing - the pink spindle berries, the quirky stems, blackberries, little tagetes and orange cosmos, a dahlia or two, it’s not for everyone but it makes my heart sing 🙂

Matching last week’s arch 🙂 Urns, a central arrangement and simple stem bottles with coordinating flowers. Minimal but allowing for the table setting and the candelabras yet to be put in place. A huge thanks to @frankiewdesign and @mireillefloral for creating this all for me as I attended a best friend’s mother’s funeral that day. They know me, my style and I trust them implicitly - thank you guys for everything that day 🙂💛❤️
Team effort last week to get this colourful arch up…
Thank you to Will @weddingmetalart for bespoking the right footplate for this arch and delivering it to site to us on the day and Suzanne @mireillefloral for working so quickly with me to get this up in time for the event…
The right footplate had to be adjusted to accommodate a raised ridge it butted up against so that the upright pole was inline with the open door - otherwise it would have been in the centre of the door! Things we have to think about…
We had a time window to get this up from scratch once Will had delivered the altered arch structure - chicken wire, tubes, test tubes on and go, go, go with the foliage and flowers…
All done 🙂 waiting for everyone to arrive…
